Scott Shiroma is a top-rated teaching and coaching specialist in the SoCal PGA - nominee for Teacher of the Year. Scott joins the HBGA Coaching Staff after most recently serving the Seacliff Country Club in Huntington Beach, CA as Director of Instruction and Player Development. Scott played NCAA golf at New Mexico State before embarking on his career as a PGA Professional. Scott is a committed student of the game and golf coaching science. He has earned certifications from the Titleist Performance Institute Junior Coach Level 3, Swing Catalyst Level 2 - Dr. Scott Lynn, Forces and Motion Golf Certification - Phil Cheetham and Dr. Sasho Mackenzie, and Certified Golf Coaches - Henry Brunton and Dr. Rick Jensen. In addition, Scott is a US Kids Certified Coach and Certified in the American Development Model (ADM) pga.coach. Students enjoy Scott's calm and pleasant demeanor. Scott is focused on helping his students build and maintain solid fundamentals and techniques in all aspects of the game. He loves to help them improve and achieve their goals while enjoying the process.
